Hippopotamus Hamburgers (aka Hippo Hamburgers) existed from 1950-1987 at 2025 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco California. They had crazy toppings on their burgers like ice cream, hot fudge, a pickle and cherries, but their basic burgers were amazing, as were the shakes. This retro design is part of our collection featuring the old school vintage American restaurants and burger joints of yesteryear.
