Duluth's Freezers took the diamond in 1886 as part of the Northwestern League. Organized baseball arrived early in Minnesota's northern port city, long before the Twins existed. Minor league clubs were the soul of small town pride back then. A team like this gave Duluth something to rally around before the snow returned. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched white serif text reads "DULUTH" above smaller white text "ESTD 1886" flanking a cyan and white cartoon anthropomorphic ice cube in a baseball cap, holding a bat in a batting stance. Flowing cyan script below reads "Freezers," followed by white sans-serif text reading "NORTHWESTERN LEAGUE" and "BASEBALL CLUB - DULUTH, MINN." beside a small baseball icon.
