WOR Radio in New York brought Brooklyn Dodgers baseball into living rooms starting in 1939, sponsored by Feigenspan Ale. Weeknight broadcasts at 9:15 turned sports talk into a citywide ritual. Before television changed everything, a voice on the radio was how a borough fell in love with its team.
