Maxim Hotel & Casino opened in 1977 on Flamingo Road, just east of the Las Vegas Strip. Locals knew it as a more intimate alternative to the megaresorts rising nearby. Its showroom gave comedians and lounge acts a steady stage for over two decades. Places like the Maxim kept old Vegas personal. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
