Gettysburg's Patriots took the field in 1915 as a Class D club in the Blue Ridge League. Organized baseball arrived in a Pennsylvania town already steeped in American history. Small town clubs like these were the backbone of the minor league system, giving communities something to rally around long before television changed everything. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
