Hanover's Tigers prowled the Cumberland Valley League in 1896, representing a small Pennsylvania town with outsized baseball pride. Semi-pro leagues like this one stitched communities together before the modern farm system existed. Every town had a team, and every team carried the weight of local honor on its back. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched black serif text reads "CUMBERLAND VALLEY LEAGUE BASEBALL" above a hand-drawn black ink tiger wearing a baseball cap marked "H," prowling forward. Large orange distressed script lettering reads "Tigers" beneath the tiger. Bold black text reads "1896" flanked by two small stars, with "HANOVER, PENNSYLVANIA" in black sans-serif type below.
