The Sands opened in 1952 on Las Vegas Boulevard and quickly became the emotional center of the Strip's golden era. Every major entertainer of the fifties and sixties passed through its doors. More than a hotel, it was the place where Las Vegas learned to believe in its own mythology. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
