Nixon Lane was the single-lane bowling alley installed beneath the North Portico of the White House in 1969. Washington, D.C. had its share of alleys, but none carried that kind of address. Bowling became a quiet presidential ritual, a few stolen frames away from the weight of the office.
Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
