Dome of the Sea was the Dunes' answer to Space Age fine dining on the Las Vegas Strip in the 1960s. Seafood dinners there became a ritual for high rollers and honeymooners alike, a night out that felt worlds away from the desert outside. The Dunes fell in 1993, but the memory of that dining room still lingers. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched teal letters read "DOME" and "SEA" around a rust-orange ship's wheel holding black "of the." A hand-drawn rust-orange dome with white arched ribs sits above a teal pool inside a black diamond outline, flanked by teal waves. Rust-orange script reads "The Dunes," flanked by black "LAS VEGAS" and "NEVADA."
