Opening in 1946, the Flamingo was among the first true resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. Backed by mob money and a gangster's dream of luxury, it brought Hollywood glamour to a dusty desert town. Every resort that followed borrowed its blueprint. Nearly eight decades later, it remains the oldest still operating on the Strip. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
