Mario's Pizza in New York City held a sacred relic from the early 1980s, a Frogger high score of 860,630 that stood untouched for years. Neighborhood arcades back then were where reputations were made, one quarter at a time. That score belonged to a kid fueled by Mountain Dew and mozzarella. Some records outlive the pizzerias that keep them.
