Clairemont Bowl opened in San Diego's Clairemont neighborhood during the 1960s, quickly earning the tagline "Where the Action Is." League nights packed every lane while weekend crowds spilled into the lounge. Some alleys were just businesses, but this one became the social anchor of an entire community.
