In 1962, Woodley Lewis (one of the 1st players to break the color barrier in the NFL) bought Sportsman Bowl, a 36-lane bowling alley in Compton, California. The location was later turned into a Skateland U.S.A. roller rink in 1984 which was one of the earliest sites for hip hop in Los Angeles. This design is part of our retro bowling alley collection featuring the vintage defunct bowling alleys of yesteryear. Memorialized on high quality apparel.
