Clear Lake's Fish Eaters took the diamond in 1912 as part of the Iowa State League, carrying one of the most memorable names in small-town baseball. In an era when towns across the Midwest fielded their own clubs, Clear Lake wore its lakeside identity with pride. Some teams fade from the record books but never from local memory.
