Desert Inn opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1950, back when the boulevard was more sagebrush than skyline. Its championship golf course and supper club showrooms helped turn a dusty highway into a destination for the country's elite. Standing for half a century, it carried the quiet class of old Vegas until its doors closed in 2000. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
The Details:
Joshua tree illustration in stippled green with white highlights rises beside red-orange cursive script reading "Wilbur Clark's." Slanted sky-blue Western serif letters with offset red-orange outlines read "DESERT INN" across the trunk, beside a smaller Joshua tree on a blue ground line.
