El Rancho Vegas opened in 1941 on a lonely stretch of Highway 91, the first resort on what would become the Las Vegas Strip. Before the mob money and the towering casinos, it offered Western hospitality to travelers crossing the Mojave. A fire ended its run in 1960, but every resort that followed walked the trail it blazed. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
