Flamingo Hotel opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1946, when the road south of downtown was still mostly desert. Its builders set out to bring real luxury to a town known for sawdust floors and cowboy saloons. Every grand resort that followed borrowed from that ambition. Long before the megaresorts, the Flamingo showed what the Strip could become. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
The Details:
