Opening in 1952 on the Las Vegas Strip, the Sahara brought a desert mirage of North African fantasy to a frontier town still finding its identity. Its Congo Room hosted headliners and lounge acts that helped define postwar Vegas nightlife. Generations of travelers made it their first stop on the north end. Some names never leave the Strip. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.

The Details:

Spade shape in distressed black frames a vintage hand-drawn woman's face with heavy-lashed eyes, dark lips, a jeweled forehead ornament, beaded headpiece, and drop earrings. Lettering in distressed red reads "SAHARA" in a jagged, hand-drawn display font. Widely spaced black serif text reads "HOTEL" above red script "Las Vegas."
