Opening on Fremont Street in 1957, the Mint brought a new kind of downtown glamour to Las Vegas. Its high-rise tower, added in the mid-1960s, gave Glitter Gulch a skyline of its own. The Mint 400 desert race, launched under its banner in 1968, carried the name far beyond the casino floor. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
