Encino Bowl stood on Ventura Boulevard in Encino, California, a mid-century landmark born during the 1950s bowling boom. Lanes like this one anchored the San Fernando Valley's suburban identity, giving neighborhoods a gathering place that outlasted trends. Some alleys were just alleys, but Encino Bowl became the kind of place people still talk about. Part of our Vintage Los Angeles collection, featuring the iconic local landmarks of yesteryear.
