Hippopotamus Hamburgers (aka Hippo Hamburgers) existed from 1950-1987 at 2025 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco California. They had crazy toppings on their burgers like ice cream, hot fudge, a pickle and cherries, but their basic burgers were amazing, as were the shakes.
