Swanson's Westlake Bowl stood as a gathering place in the Westlake Shopping Center of Daly City, California, thriving during the mid-century bowling boom of the 1950s and 1960s. Lanes like this one were where neighborhoods came together, where league nights meant something. Some alleys outlast their era, becoming sacred ground for the communities they raised.
