Erwin A. Beyer put his whole government name on a roller rink flyer like he was signing a treaty with God. That ad outlived the rink, the rural route, and probably the town's last payphone, but "SKATE, it's great" remains undefeated copy. Part of our Retro Roller Rink collection, inspired by the classic skating rinks of yesteryear.
The Details:
Rounded-corner label in pink, blue, and white displays vintage text reading "SKATE!" and "it's great!" alongside "ON 'CHICAGO' SKATES" above a faceless woman in a blue skirt and white roller skates depicted mid-stride among scattered polka dots. Below, stacked dark blue text reads "ERWIN A. BEYER'S ROLLER SKATING RINK" and "R. R. NO. 4 CELINA, OHIO" beside two small blue silhouetted skating figures.
