Altoona's Engineers took the field in 1931 as part of Pennsylvania's deep minor league tradition. Railroad towns like Altoona bred a fierce brand of ball, where the game was inseparable from the working identity of the community. Playing meant something in a place where the Pennsylvania Railroad built everything, including local pride.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
