Battle Creek's Crickets took the field in 1906 as part of the Southern Michigan League's Class D circuit. A small town club carrying real weight in the local identity. Some teams get forgotten, but the name still echoes through Michigan baseball history. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed green block text reads "BATTLE CREEK" beside a vintage cartoon illustration of a cricket insect in a batting stance, wearing a baseball cap and gripping a bat. Large weathered green serif lettering reads "CRICKETS" below the mascot. Smaller green text reads "Est. 1906," "SOUTHERN MICHIGAN LEAGUE," and "CLASS D BASEBALL" in mixed serif and sans-serif fonts with heavy grunge texture throughout.
