Beeville's Orange Growers took the field in 1910 as part of the Southwest Texas League. Class D ball meant everything to a small South Texas town built on citrus and cattle. Carrying the local banner through long summer evenings, the nine gave Beeville something beyond the harvest to rally around. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
