Bel Aire Bowl stood as Napa's mid-century gathering place, where league nights and coffee shop conversations anchored the community for decades. Opening during the 1950s bowling boom, its 24 automatic lanes made it a destination in a valley better known for vineyards. Some landmarks define a town beyond what outsiders expect.
