Boston's Blues joined the New England League in 1886, during an era when minor league ball was the lifeblood of northeastern cities. Long before the Red Sox claimed Boston, Massachusetts as their own, clubs like the Blues gave working neighborhoods something to rally around. Every summer, they filled wooden grandstands with purpose. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
