Brookhaven, Mississippi, fielded the Truckers in the Cotton States League during the 1920s, competing at the Class D level. This small city in Lincoln County embraced minor league baseball with passion, reflecting the sport's deep roots across the rural South. The Truckers name likely honored the growing transportation industry vital to the region's lumber and agricultural economy.
