Calumet's Aristocrats took the field in 1905, a Class D club born from the copper mining towns of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Playing in the Copper Country Soo League, they gave immigrant mining families something beyond the next shift to rally around. Baseball and hard labor built that community together.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed golden-cream text reads "CALUMET, MICH." at the top, with larger serif lettering below reading "ARISTOCRATS" and "ESTABLISHED IN." A vintage hand-drawn batter in mid-swing replaces the zero in the large numerals "1905." Stacked text at the bottom reads "COPPER COUNTRY SOO LEAGUE" over "CLASS D BASEBALL CLUB."
