The Castaways, originally opened as the Sans Souci Hotel in 1955, was a prominent Polynesian-themed resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Renamed the Castaways in 1963, it featured a distinctive Jain temple replica known as the "Gateway to Luck," enhancing its exotic ambiance. Despite its unique theme and popularity, the Castaways faced financial challenges and underwent several ownership changes. In 1987, the property was closed and subsequently demolished to make way for new developments, including The Mirage resort. This design is part of our vintage retro collection, celebrating the defunct golden era Las Vegas venues of yesteryear. Printed on our warm & cozy heavyweight unisex sweatshirt.
