Club Waikiki on Wilson Avenue brought the South Pacific to Chicago's Uptown neighborhood during the mid-century tiki craze. Blending Cantonese cuisine with steaks, seafood, and exotic tropical drinks, it embodied the postwar American fascination with Polynesian escapism. Spots like this gave working families a taste of paradise without ever leaving the city. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
