Cocoa Beach Fliers took the diamond in 1941, playing out of Fort Pierce, Florida, during a time when small-town baseball was woven into the fabric of everyday life. Minor league clubs like these gave coastal communities something to rally around before television changed everything. Some teams are remembered not for championships, but for the era they carried.
