Crisfield's Crabbers took the diamond in 1922 as part of the Eastern Shore League, representing a small Maryland fishing town where baseball and the Chesapeake Bay were inseparable. Class D ball meant everything to communities like Crisfield. Those teams carried a town's pride in a way the major leagues never could. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
