Crown Bowl stood at 1301 East Artesia in Long Beach, a neighborhood alley that carried decades of league tradition through the postwar era. Opening in the 1950s, it became the kind of place where generations laced up rental shoes and settled rivalries one frame at a time. Some alleys were just buildings, but Crown Bowl was a gathering place. Part of our Vintage Los Angeles collection, featuring the iconic local landmarks of yesteryear.
