Fall River's Cascades took the field in 1877 as part of the New England Association. A proud Massachusetts mill city, Fall River rallied behind its club during baseball's earliest organized years. Before the major leagues consolidated power, small city teams like this one gave working communities something to cheer for on summer afternoons. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
