Fidelman's Mai-Kai brought Polynesian escapism to the Lake Michigan shoreline of South Haven, thriving during the mid-century tiki craze of the 1950s and 1960s. Sprawling across eighty acres, it promised cocktails, floor shows, and lodging all in one resort destination. Places like this turned small beach towns into something worth driving hours to reach. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
The Details:
Black text reading '"TOPS" IN FOOD, LODGING, & FLOOR SHOWS' arcs above a golden-yellow brushstroke circle framing a vintage hand-drawn illustration of a low-slung building, palm trees, lighthouse, and waterfront. Black script reads "Fidelman's" above bold "MAI-KAI" and "COCKTAIL LOUNGE." Below, black text reads "80 Acres of Instant Happiness" and "SOUTH HAVEN, MICHIGAN."
