Fort Pierce fielded its Bombers in 1940, joining the Florida East Coast League as war loomed over the nation. Small-town baseball clubs like this one gave coastal Florida communities something to rally around during uncertain times. The Bombers carried the spirit of a city finding its identity between the diamond and the shoreline. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed green text reads "FORT PIERCE" above "ESTD" and "1940" flanking a vintage hand-drawn green bomber airplane with red and white striped tail markings.
