Georgetown's Collegians joined the Middle Texas League as a Class D club in 1914. Small Texas towns like Georgetown lived and died by their local nines. Minor league ball gave rural communities a sense of pride that stretched far beyond the diamond. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed white text reads "GEORGETOWN" across the top. A horizontal oval badge below contains a gray interlocking "GC" monogram flanked by "ESTD" and "1914" in white, with "MIDDLE TEXAS LEAGUE" above and "CLASS D BASEBALL CLUB" below in smaller gray type, a small baseball to the left and a Texas state outline to the right. Bold distressed white text along the bottom reads "COLLEGIANS."
