Hacienda Hotel & Casino opened in 1956 at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip, the first welcome for travelers rolling in from Los Angeles. Long before resorts courted families, the Hacienda made room for them. Through four decades, it stood as an unpretentious outpost of old Vegas. Its 1996 implosion closed a chapter the Strip never reopened. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
