Hagerstown's Owls took the diamond in 1941, carrying the pride of western Maryland through the Interstate League. Small-town baseball clubs like this one bound communities together in ways the major leagues never could. Some teams are remembered for championships, but the Owls endured because they belonged to Hagerstown itself. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
