Hoefly's was a Belmont Shore institution, the kind of steakhouse that anchored Long Beach's dining scene for decades starting in the mid-twentieth century. Regulars knew it by reputation alone, famous for prime rib that kept generations coming back. Some restaurants feed a neighborhood, and some become the neighborhood.
