Holyoke's Paperweights played in the Connecticut League starting in 1903, representing a western Massachusetts mill city deep in its industrial prime. Baseball clubs like this one gave factory towns an identity beyond the smokestacks. They were community pride stitched into a roster, gone too soon but not forgotten. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed white arched text reads "Holyoke," with a small baseball illustration to its right, above large white cursive script reading "Paperweights" with a swooping tail underline and a white banner reading "BASEBALL CLUB." Distressed golden-yellow text reads "est. 1903" below, followed by "Connecticut League" in matching golden-yellow serif type. Smaller golden-yellow block text reads "HOLYOKE, MASSACHUSETTS" above a small golden-yellow silhouette of Massachusetts.
