Hotel Sahara opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1952, standing at the northern edge of a desert boomtown still finding its footing. Within a decade, six hundred air conditioned rooms with television and radio promised modern luxury in the Nevada heat. Some hotels host a city's history, this one helped write it. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
