Tropicana Las Vegas opened in 1957 as one of the most ambitious resorts on the Strip. Beginning in 1959, it became the American home of the Folies Bergère, the longest running production show in Las Vegas history. Few properties bridged old Vegas glamour and the modern era with that kind of grace.
