Jacksonville's Lunatics took the diamond in 1907 as part of the Iowa State League, out of Jacksonville, Illinois. Minor league ball was the soul of rural America in those years. Clubs like this gave small towns their identity and their summers a purpose.

The Details:
Distressed white circular emblem displays curved uppercase text reading "JACKSONVILLE LUNATICS" along the top arc and "BASEBALL CLUB" along the bottom, separated by bullet points. An inner ring contains "IOWA STATE LEAGUE," "JACKSONVILLE, ILLINOIS," and "ESTABLISHED 1907." A cartoon baseball with an angry face, stitched brow, and protruding tongue occupies the center.
