Jonesboro's Zebras played Class D ball in the Northeast Arkansas League starting in 1909, bringing organized baseball to a small Arkansas cotton town. Minor league clubs like these were the lifeblood of rural communities, giving folks something to rally around long before television arrived.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed white arched text reading "Northeast Arkansas League Class D Baseball Club" curves around a circular emblem enclosing a cartoon zebra in a baseball uniform mid-swing, with "Jonesboro, Arkansas" printed inside the circle. Large cursive script reading "Zebras" with an underline swoosh spans below the emblem, with "est.1909" at the bottom.
