Kalamazoo's Kazoos took the diamond in 1889 as part of the Michigan State League, carrying one of the most memorable names in minor league history. Small town baseball clubs like this one were the backbone of the sport before the modern farm system existed. They gave Kalamazoo something to rally around every summer. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
