Kent's Kings joined the Ohio Pennsylvania League in 1905, playing Class C ball out of a small college town during minor league baseball's golden age. Communities across Kent, Ohio built their summers around clubs like these. Losing them meant losing something nothing else quite replaced. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed golden-cream text reads "KENT" in small block letters above large script lettering reading "King's." A baseball topped with a crown sits to the upper left of the script text. Below, arched text reads "Kent, Ohio" followed by "OHIO PENNSYLVANIA LEAGUE" and "CLASS C BASEBALL CLUB," with "EST'D 1905" at the bottom accented by a curved swoosh underline.
