Lamesa's Lobos took the field in 1939, joining the West Texas-New Mexico League as a Class D club on the dusty Texas plains. Baseball meant everything to small towns like Lamesa during that era. On summer nights, the whole community gathered at the ballpark, and that little town felt like the center of the world. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed gold serif text reads "LOBOS" above a vintage cartoon wolf mascot in a baseball uniform, rendered in gold and white in a pitching stance. Smaller gold text reads "Lamesa," "Texas," "ESTD.," and "1939" flanking the mascot. Below, larger gold text reads "BASEBALL" with "West Texas-New Mexico League" and "CLASS D" in smaller distressed gold lettering.
